The graphics and sounds of the slot are clearly in line with those of their predecessor, but that is where the similarities end. At the very start of regular gameplay, we noticed that wilds no longer appeared on all reels to fill that reel, but instead in packages of one or at most two wilds. However, the third reel did at least have the familiar symbol which turns the whole reel wild.

In addition, the new “shootout bonus” might as well have been left on the cutting room floor. This feature is more annoying and time-consuming than it is something worth waiting for. It involves the player shooting targeted symbols on the screen in different ways, but the win amount revealed after completing the bonus is always under 10x the bet.

Unlike in the original slot, in Frozen Dawn the free spins are no longer always the same. Instead, there are two different options and both features are where the real money in this game can be made.
